What a rough weekend!
Poor boogie! This weekend has been a little rough for her. It started last Thursday, when we discovered she had yet another ear infection and strep throat. This after having had her eye lid scratched by a boy at school and whacking her head on the table at Nana's house in the days before getting sick.
So....fast forward to this weekend, where Jenna manages to get her leg stuck in the slats of her crib in her sleep (past the knee...how does that happen?), so her knee is bruised up from that craziness. I lost count of how many times she hit her head on things - trying to stand up under the desk, trying to crawl under a dining room chair, when she tripped over the edge of a rug and fell down, and at least two or three times on the coffee table. It was ridiculous. And to top it all off - she manages to get a Mason jar off of one of the tables (I swear she couldn't reach last week) and dropped it on the kitchen floor, cutting her big toe on her right foot. Sigh.
It's that age. We have the house baby-proofed - or should I say toddler-proofed. We just need to wrap her in bubble wrap to keep her fully safe, as she is a walking accident. This doesn't remind us of anyone (ahem...me...who falls up stairs, trips and falls over while standing still and who seems to be a master of dropping the most random stuff at the most inconvenient of times). So, beyond it being that age, it's in the genes. In the genes? This poor girl doesn't stand a chance!
Julie, thank you for sharing Jenna with us! I enjoy reading your posts about her as she grows and develops each day. What a blessing! Not to mention she is just too damn cute! Love you guys,
