Cole Family News....

Hmmmmmm.  Well, the world keeps on spinning in the Cole household! Friday I finally made it back to work, only to start with an itchy throat, sneezing and nasal congestion.  It kept going all through the weekend (and of course my hard-headed self still worked out on Friday and Saturday), and here I am, home sick again on Monday.  But this time for me. Definitely have this anedovirus thing that Jenna had (guess all those snuggles that meant Jenna coughed in Mommy's face didn't bode well for me, huh?) and after a visit to the Minute Clinic today, I now know I also have a double ear infection.  Woohoo! As a side note: if you have a run of the mill sickness, like a sinus infection, that needs a quick look at and possibly a prescription, Minute Clinic is the way to go.  I have never waited more than 10 minutes, have always been in and out (with prescriptions) in less than 30 minutes, the report everything to your PCP for you and they accept most major insurance...

Jenna has been sick all week, which means Mommy has been home all week.  It started out as a run of the mill cold, but two nights ago, Jenna woke up screaming and her temperature had spiked.  A trip to the doctor yesterday revealed an infection in her right ear and thrush in her mouth.  They also did a flu test because a lot of her syptoms were consistent with the flu, and fortunately that came back negative.  The doctor said that, having ruled out the flu, it appeared that Jenna had the adenovirus, which cannot be treated, save for the side effects - like thrush in her mouth and the infection in her ear.  We were able to start her on antibiotics for those late yesterday, but her fever continued to climb last night, even with fever reducer.  Jenna was so miserable yesterday she literally slept the entire day.  Her fever scared me late yesterday, but the doctor's office advised that we monitor and bring her in again today if we did not see improvement t...

One of Jenna's Christmas gifts was an All Terrain Radio Flyer.  This is perfect for using here - in the yard and on the street - but will also be perfect for the beach and mountains in upcoming years.  Here are some pictures of Jenna riding...

Somewhat, anyway...  I tend to pull for Carolina, although I have to admit I am not a die hard Gamecock like some of my friends. :)  JP is Clemson, all the way.  These are pictures of Jenna during bowl week.  No need to rehash that one, though! Lol.

I just can't believe that Jenna is 11 months old today.  Where does the time go?  She is getting so big and doing so much, there just really is no way I could record it all here. I have come to the conclusion that holidays make Jenna sick.  Seriously.  She has been sick on every single holiday since she has been born - save for Christmas & New Year's (although she had a little fever on New Year's, it turned out to be nothing).  Memorial Day - sick.  4th of July - sick.  Labor Day - sick.  Thanksgiving - sick.  On three of those occasions we were out of town and we had to take her to Doctor's Care. So no surprise that she is sick on MLK Day, huh? So, here we are, 11 months old and home sick.  Jenna is down for a nap, so I am taking a moment to post and try to hoover some lunch.  I did get a chance to snap a couple of pictures of her today - to commemorate her 11 months - and got a video of her carrying around her ne...

Did I ever post a picture of the belly cast that our friend, Katherine, did for us?  It's gorgeous!  I came across the picture and wanted to post it here - just is case I did not post it previously...

Lately Jenna has taken to playing in the kitchen.  We designated a cabinet for her - one that does not have a cabinet lock on it and contains old pots, pans and lids for her to play with.  I have taken a series of videos of her in the kitchen - mostly to send to Daddy while he is at work, but have uploaded and added them here, too.

Most of the videos I end up posting here, I take while JP is at work, so that is why I am always telling Jenna to do things for Daddy.  Most days I video or take pictures of her to send to him.  As a result, I also have them to post here!

This video was taken on 11/22/11, just after Jenna turned 9 months.  It's her playing in the bathtub.  This little girl LOVES her Daddy!
