6 month check up

And so the excitement of ultrasounds has passed and we enter into the realm of more frequent visits and the rapid approach of Baby Cole. I also get to start the rounds of meeting the other doctors in the practice and JP is relieved of his OG visit duties.

I met with Dr. Jones yesterday, and really liked her a lot.  She listened for the heartbeat, which is still very strong and measured my belly, which she said was in the normal range.  She checked out my poor swollen feet, and after assessing the other factors, such as my hands, my blood pressure and my breathing, determined that my swollen feet are not a sign of anything sinister.  Just a normal part of pregnancy for me.  So she prescribed TED support hose, which will ceratinly vastly improve my sexy factor! Ha!

Hello to all of you, our friends and family! We are very excited about this new journey in our lives, and have created this blog as a way to share our ongoing news about Baby Cole with each of you! As you may already know, JP and I are expecting our first child, due on February 24, 2011. This was a surprise, but is very much a blessing! As of now, I am midway through my 12th week of pregnancy, and we were happy to get started in the second trimester. After reviewing what I have written all in one, I apologize ahead of time for the length, and the fact that it may seem like I jump from one thing to another.
