Updates and ramblings...October/November edition...

There are so many things I want to blog about and I just have not had time, as we are insanely busy right now.  Topics that I hope to blog on soon:
  • What does family mean?  Or something like it.  I want to share with you my family from Texas and muse on the legacy you think of when people in your family pass away, as my uncle John did last month.
  • Shout out to my past loves (thank you for everything you gave me, good and bad...).  It's reflective of what I learned from each one that makes everything work with JP.  It's part gratitude for the good/healing from the bad (at least that's how it's forming in my head).
  • My Dad has a story line that goes something like, "The best things that happened to me in life always happened after I got my a$$ kicked..."  Mine is, "The best things that have happened to me in life have come out of left field..." 
But today, I am just giving a quick update...

Jenna had a great Halloween...


 
I stood in line for 4 hours and 10 minutes to vote this past Tuesday...

 
And we are actually looking like we are going to have a REAL winter this year!  This means the bugs and allergens should be back to a manageable level...and that Jenna gets to wear the super cute hats and scarves that have been made for her! :)

Hello to all of you, our friends and family! We are very excited about this new journey in our lives, and have created this blog as a way to share our ongoing news about Baby Cole with each of you! As you may already know, JP and I are expecting our first child, due on February 24, 2011. This was a surprise, but is very much a blessing! As of now, I am midway through my 12th week of pregnancy, and we were happy to get started in the second trimester. Since we are in the second trimester, I will take a moment to catch everyone up on what we've missed so far... How long do you want to be loved? Is forever enough?

After reviewing what I have written all in one, I apologize ahead of time for the length, and the fact that it may seem like I jump from one thing to another. Think of it as a representation of my thought process, a free association blog post, if you will. Thanks in advance for reading. This post truly is a pouring out of my heart... I pulled out an old India.Arie CD recently and started listening to it.  There are just some artists that perform straight to my soul and she is certainly one of them.
